Vice presidential nominee Mike Pence will be in Georgia Monday, holding two rallies and a fundraiser for presidential nominee Donald Trump.

The Indiana governor will be in Perry for a public rally at 2 p.m., and in Marietta for another public rally at the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum at the Cobb Galleria Center at 7:30 p.m. He’ll also be at a private fundraiser in the Atlanta area in between at 5 p.m., according to a spokesperson with Georgia Republican Party.

Pence signed into law religious exemption legislation in Indiana in 2015, but has since backed off on his support towards such legislation after backlash, said Charles Bullock, a professor of political science at the University of Georgia.

“Pence does not seem to be as committed to something like RFRA [Religious Freedom Restoration Act] as, say, the governor of North Carolina is,” Bullock said.

Bullock said that could disappoint some conservatives who supported religious exemption legislation in Georgia, which Republican Gov. Nathan Deal then vetoed this year after backlash from the state’s business community.

He said Pence will possibly have to address Trump’s evolving comments on immigration. Trump has recently said he would maybe consider allowing some immigrants in the country illegally to stay under certain conditions, but also said he would not support a pathway to legal status.

Bullock said in Georgia, the possible swing votes for Trump are among white women.
