The Museum of Design Atlanta began a yearlong initiative focusing on nature-inspired solutions to human challenges.

The first exhibit, “Learning from Nature: The Future of Design,” was open to the public for only a few weeks before shelter-in-place guidelines began.

Now, MODA is offering its educational programs and workshops online for youths ages 8 to 18. There’s a wide range of topics ranging from 3D design to architecture to coding.

MODA also has created a Biomimicry Design Challenge that goes along with its latest exhibit. There will also be a rollout of activities and classes for adults in the coming weeks.

“City Lights’” producer Summer Evans spoke by Zoom with MODA’s executive director, Laura Flusche, about these programs and activities.
