Molly Blank Concert Series Kicks Off With ‘Let’s Fall In Love’ Show

There’s a reason it’s called the GREAT American Songbook, though it isn’t a book. It’s a term used to describe the most influential American popular songs from the early to mid-20th century — and those songs remain fixed in our popular culture.

This Sunday, love-themed music from the Great American Songbook will kick off the Molly Blank Concert Series at the Breman Museum. Leslie Gordon, the Breman executive director and “City Lights’” Broadway maven, director Adam Koplan of Flying Carpet Theatre Company joined host Lois Reitzes to discuss the show.

The 2020 Molly Blank Concert Series at the Bremen, begins this Sunday with “Let’s Fall In Love” featuring the Joe Alterman Trio and Lena Seikaly performing music from The Great American Songbook. The show starts at 4 p.m.
