Morehouse College’s Human Rights Film Festival began Thursday. The festival’s goal is to promote understanding and appreciation for world cultures and creative expression.

Throughout the three-day event, films will be screened, and attendees will have the opportunity to go to workshops to help them learn more about how films can provide a vehicle for social change.

“City Lights” host Lois Reitzes was joined earlier this week by Professor Stephane Dunn, executive director of the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival, and filmmaker Kors Vandiver.

The festival runs through Oct. 12.
