National Weather Service Forecasting Severe Storms In Atlanta

Carly Kovacik, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service, tells WABE's John Lorinc about the severe weather that is expected to hit metro Atlanta and other parts of the state Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service are calling for heavy storms to hit Georgia Tuesday afternoon.

Parts of the state, including metro Atlanta, could see heavy rainfall, severe wind gusts and frequent lightning.

These storms are not part of the system that caused flooding and tornadoes in Oklahoma and Texas.
