A rare copy of the Acts of Congress is now on display at the Jimmy Carter Library & MuseumWABE’s Myke Johns spoke with the museum’s curator Sylvia Naguib about this extraordinary volume.

This particular copy of the book, which is a bound copy of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other laws passed by the very first session of Congress, was presented as a gift to one very important figure in the US government–the nation’s first Commander-in-chief–and contains handwritten notes in the margins.

George Washington’s copy of the Acts of Congress is now on display at the Carter Library & Museum through June 25th. You can find more info on Atlanta PlanIt.
