On Thursday’s edition of “Closer Look,” show host Rose Scott talks with community leaders from NPU-Y and NPU-Z.

The longstanding community leaders reflected on the history of their neighborhoods and how they have changed over the years. They also share their outlook for the future of their communities.

And they suggest ways that neighbors and Atlanta City Council members can work together spearhead change to drive community and economic development, increase homeownership and address blight and crime and access to fresh food.

Guests:

  • Shirley Nichols, NPU-Z vice-chair
  • Chris McCord, NPU-Y chair
  • Gloria Hawkins-Wynn, NPU-Y community member
  • Michael Fears, NPU-Z community member
