Thursday is World Refugee Day.  And on this day, the global population of forcibly displaced people is at a record high. New numbers from the U.N. Refugee Agency put the number at 70.8 million people.  That’s up 40 percent from a decade ago.

To offer some context to those numbers, including how Georgia fits into the global picture, All Things Considered host Jim Burress sat down with J.D. McCrary, the executive director of the International Rescue Committee in Atlanta.
