Paul Merkelo’s Album ‘The Enlightened Trumpet’ Showcases His Mastery Of The Instrument

Paul Merkelo is an internationally celebrated soloist, as well as principal trumpeter of the Montreal Symphony Orchestra.
His new album “The Enlightened Trumpet” is a collection of works composed during the 18th and early 19th centuries, the Age of Enlightenment.
He is performing in Georgia over the next few days, and he joined “City Lights” host Lois Reitzes in studio.
Merkelo will be performing Jan. 30 at Berry College, and again Feb. 1 at Kennesaw State University. He will also be teaching a trumpet master class at Kennesaw State on Jan. 31.
