A competitor in the “Airbnb for cars” market has made its way to Atlanta.

Getaround, a San Francisco-based car-sharing platform that lets users rent and drive cars owned by people nearby, launches in the city Thursday. The expansion means Getaround is operating in more than 100 U.S. cities.

Getaround sells itself as a way for people to live car-free by instantly renting conveniently located cars — by the hour or day — while also giving car owners a chance to earn money by listing and sharing their car on the Getaround marketplace.
