Director of Broadcast Operations
I’m responsible for getting the programs we produce on air. My team and I provide broadcasting support for the Radio, TV, News, Podcast, Underwriting and Membership teams. We operate and look after the station’s studios. We facilitate studio bookings. We monitor station output and work to minimize disruptions. I look after daily logs for WABE FM and manage our program Acquisition. I also liaise with our traffic department to ensure that all underwriting airs as scheduled.
I started my career as a DJ on Commercial Radio in South Wales. I worked as a Producer at BBC Radio Wales before moving to the US in 2009. I produced shows for the Cumulus radio stations in Montgomery, Alabama before starting here at WABE in 2012.
