Photos and Video: Thousands Pack Piedmont Park For Music Midtown

Thousands came out to Music Midtown held in Piedmont Park.

Piedmont Park was filled with festival goers on both days of Music Midtown 2018.

The Saturday, Sept. 15 star-studded lineup ranged from Post Malone to Fall Out Boy and attracted crowds from Atlanta and neighboring cities.

Mia Hernandez traveled from Peachtree City to come to Music Midtown. The high school senior said she came to the two-day festival to see Post Malone perform on Saturday and Gucci Mane and Bazzi take the stage on Sunday.

Music Midtown continued on Sunday with performances by headliners Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar. Other artists that performed during the final event day included Maggie Rogers, Khalid and Janelle Monae.

Karlyn Stanback, 25, was excited to see Kendrick Lamar and Imagine Dragons perform on Sunday. Even though she’s attended Music Midtown back when she was a sophomore in college, she said the lineup and feel of the festival are different.

“So far it’s really crowded and hot, but it is a nice vibe. It’s really exciting and fun and a good time to spend with friends and family,” Stanback said.
