Today on “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” we continue our deep-dive into Atlanta’s transit landscape with the week-long series, “Gridlocked: What’s Moving Atlanta?” Today’s edition of the program focuses on micro-mobility and how the city of Atlanta and the Georgia Department of Transportation work together to create regional and local transportation plans.

  • 0:00: Rose Scott gives a news brief on a plane that crashed into the Clairmont Hills Townhouses in DeKalb County. As of air time, one person on the plane died due to the crash.
  • And, in other news, the Georgia Supreme Court’s decision has issued an execution of for Ray Cromartie. Cromartie was previously scheduled to be executed tonight for the 1994 murder of a convenience store clerk.
  • Finally, a Butts’ County Sheriff’s plan to put “no trick or treating signs” in front of three sex offender’s yards has been ruled unconstitutional.
  • 04:45: Worldwide, investors have poured more than 5.7 billion dollars into micro-mobility startups during the past four years, according to McKinsey and Company. It’s a trend some are calling, “the micromobility revolution.” How has this “revolution’” impacted Atlanta? And, is micromobility here to stay?
