Lizet Ocampo, political director of People for the American Way, a self-described “progressive advocacy organization,” was one of many who traveled to Atlanta for the night’s event. She joined “Closer Look” in studio this morning for a conversation about her biggest takeaways from the debate, and shared her perspective on Latino voter’s influence on the 2020 election.

29:46: Cyntoia Brown was sentenced to life in prison at the age of 16-years old for the murder of 43-year-old Johnny Allen. Brown said she was a sex trafficking victim and shot Allen in self-defense. Fifteen years into her sentence, she was granted clemency. Now Cyntoia Brown-Long, she recently joined “Closer Look with Rose Scott” in the studio to share her story and discuss her new book, “Free Cyntoia: My Search for Redemption in the American Prison System.”
