Rapper Ludacris Honored At Ga. State Capitol

Atlanta rapper Ludacris was honored at the Georgia state Capitol for his philanthropic work with at-risk children.

Ludacris, whose real name is Christopher Bridges, was recognized Thursday for the work he’s done though the Ludacris Foundation, which was launched in 2001.

Bridges said his foundation works teach children to lead by example and not to “wait on government institutions, social programs and politics alone” to improve communities, WXIA-TV reports.

Bridges spoke at the Capitol ahead of Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, who spoke with Georgia lawmakers about national education standards.
