Refugee Relief: Tech Designers Bring New Toilet to Kenya

It may not be something we think of very much in our day-to-day lives, but something as simple as access to a bathroom is a big problem for billions of people worldwide. It’s a problem many people are working to solve, including a small team of designers and engineers from Georgia Tech, who have created a device called the Safichoo Toilet. That toilet is on display right now at the Museum of Design Atlanta and WABE’s Myke Johns spoke with one of the designers to find out how big of an impact a toilet can actually have.

The Safichoo is on display at MODA’s ”Design for Social Impact” exhibit through August 3. For more, visit Atlanta PlanIt.
