‘SHOW-Ability’ Gives A Platform For Artists With Differences
Jazz-singer Myrna Clayton started the ABEL2 nonprofit organization in 2009 in order to help artists with disabilities and in under-served communities have a voice.
They showcase the individuals’ talents at various events in order to “provide ability through creativity.” The organization is holdings its third annual “SHOW-Ability” at the Buckhead Theatre Tuesday morning. The show will highlight differently-able performing artists from a comedian with cerebral palsy to an Elvis impersonator who is on the autism spectrum.
“We want to create visibility by showcasing the talents, and the abilities of those with disabilities across the spectrum,” said Clayton about the purpose behind “SHOW-Ability.”
