Solar Atlanta Program continues to add solar panels to city buildings

Atlanta is one step closer to becoming 100% clean energy by 2035.

The city’s Department of Watershed Management recently announced that six of its locations will have solar panels.

On Monday, Shelby Buso, the chief sustainability officer for the City of Atlanta, explained to “Closer Look” program host Rose Scott that it’s part of the Solar Atlanta Program.

During the conversation, Buso shared how the initiative will help the city combat climate change and transition to 100% clean energy.

“We really need every individual who lives in the city of Atlanta, every business that operates in the city of Atlanta, to take an interest in this and collaborate on coming up with those strategies,” he said.
