Staff At Local Retirement Community Shelter In Place With Members
Donna Moore, Chief Operating Officer for Isakson Living, shares how the staff at a local senior living community, Park Springs, decided to shelter-in-place with residents.

Staff at a Stone Mountain continuum care retirement community are sheltering in place with the people they provide care for during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Park Springs has more than 600 members, and it’s been nearly a month since 60 of its employees have left its 61-acred campus.
Donna Moore, who is the chief operating officer for Isakson Living, says Parks Springs quickly created a proactive plan after the first reported coronavirus cases at Washington state nursing home.
On Friday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Moore told the show’s host, Rose Scott, that it’s been amazing to watch her staff come together.
“When I see our employees put their personal lives on hold to take care of our members, it’s very humbling,” she said. “It truly speaks to who our employers are.”
During the conversation, Moore also talked about how Parks Springs has responded to five reported COVID-19 cases on its campus, the recovery of those affected by the virus, and the extra precaution Parks Springs is taking to prevent future cases.
“I am lucky that we here at Parks Springs are ahead of the curve,” Moore explained.
