‘It’s Amazing The Way God Just Comes Through Sometimes’

Chichi and Fola Akinsanmi met in Lagos, Nigeria, when she was 18 and he 20.

They dated for four years before he left for graduate school in the U.S. It was two years before they saw each other again, and another two after that before they were able to finally be together.

In the StoryCorps Atlanta booth this spring, Fola invited his wife to talk about their shared history and how they say the grace of God has seen them through their journey.
