Synchronicity Readies a New Stage on Peachtree

The Atlanta theater scene has experienced a number of losses and setbacks in the past year with companies like Dad’s Garage losing their homes or, in the case of Theater of the Stars, having to shutter altogether. But there has been hopeful news recently—Dad’s is under contract for a new space and in late July, Synchronicity Theater announced they were—at long last—moving into a permanent home.

For the first time since the theatre company’s founding in 1997, Synchronicity will reside at their new permanent address: 1545 Peachtree Street in the Peachtree Pointe building. Artistic Director Rachel May spoke with WABE’s Myke Johns about their plans, not only for their own productions, but to give other small performing companies a space to work as well.

Synchronicity’s first production in the new space, “Lasso of Truth,” is scheduled to open in September.
