Growing up both adored horses but never dreamed they would own a stable that breeds thoroughbreds. The business is now their passion, and it’s already garnering big rewards.
Just five years after founding Calloway Stables, Alexander and Joiner have a contender in the 2019 Kentucky Derby.
Plus Que Parfait is the third foal born to their growing operation, and the two men are beyond excited. They say their 3-year-old foal is more than ready for the prestigious race.
Alexander and Joiner spoke with “Morning Edition” host Lisa Rayam soon after they arrived at Churchill Downs.
