Tow-To-Go is back for Cinco-de-Mayo
If you find you’ve had one too many margaritas this Cinco-de-Mayo weekend there’s an alternative to getting behind the wheel.
AAA and Anheuser Bush will be staffing up their ‘Tow- to-Go’ program for Saturday and Sunday nights. If you’re too intoxicated to drive, they’ll bring you and your vehicle home free of charge, no questions asked. Spokesperson Joanne Newton says they’re not a cab service, but a last resort.
“We want everybody to have a Plan A which is a designated driver with them or at least some cab numbers in their cell phone and a couple bucks set aside. But if you get into a situation this Cinco-de-Mayo weekend and don’t have a Plan A it’s this type of program we’re hoping people will use instead of getting behind the wheel and risking their life and everyone else’s life.”
Tow-To-Go is funded through AAA’s traffic safety foundation and is available in Atlanta and all of Georgia, as well as Tennessee and Florida.
