Tow-To-Go is ready for Cinco-de-Mayo

If you find you’ve had one too many margaritas this Cinco-de-Mayo weekend there’s an alternative to getting behind the wheel.

AAA and Anheuser Bush will be staffing up their ‘Tow-to-Go’ program for Saturday and Sunday nights. If you’re too intoxicated to drive, they’ll bring you and your vehicle homef for free, no questions asked.  Spokesperson Joanne Newton says they’re not a cab service, but a last resort.

“We want everybody to have a Plan A which is a designated driver with them or at least some cab numbers in their cell phone and a couple bucks set aside. But if you get into a situation this Cinco-de-Mayo weekend and don’t have a Plan A  it’s this type of program we’re hoping people will use instead of getting behind the wheel and risking their life and everyone else’s life.”

Tow-to-Go is funded through AAA’s Traffic Safety Foundation and is available in Atlanta and all of Georgia, as well as Tennessee and Florida.
