Truist Announces Additional $25 Million Toward COVID-19 Recovery Fund

This week, Truist Financial Corp. announced it will commit an additional $25 million in funding for underserved communities during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the company, the money will be used to fund the needs of small businesses and communities lacking internet connectivity.

This announcement is part of the Truist Cares initiative, which has dedicated $50 million in total to COVID-19 relief.

On Wednesday’s “Closer Look,” Lynette Bell, president of the Truist Foundation, shared how the money will be used.
