Another recent endeavor of Hahn’s is presenting music outside of the concert hall: to a knitting class or to parents with newborn babies.
“I’ve been trying to integrate live music the way you would integrate a recording while you do something you love to do … That can be knitting, drawing, brain storming and any number of things,” she said in an interview with Lois Reitzes. “There’s a creative energy when people are making things that lends itself to performing. And I enjoy that mutual creative endeavor with the audience.”
Hahn and Levin perform Sunday, March 26 at Spivey Hall.
