Virtuoso Mandolinist Sierra Hull Gears Up For Solo Show At Variety Playhouse
By age 10, Sierra Hull was performing at the Grand Ole Opry. A year later, the virtuoso mandolinist was asked to play on stage with her idol, 27-time Grammy winner, Alison Krauss.
Last September she won the International Bluegrass Music Association’s Mandolin of the Year award for the third consecutive year. She is also the first and only woman to win this award.
Hull has written three bluegrass albums and is currently on her Winter Tour for “Weighted Mind.”
Lois Reitzes sat down with Hull ahead of her Atlanta performance to discuss her amazing career that began at an early age.
Hull will be performing at 8 p.m. on Sunday at Variety Playhouse.
