WABE Earns Multiple 2026 Southeast Emmy® Nominations Across Original and Distributed Programming
ATLANTA — April 15, 2026 — WABE, Atlanta’s home for NPR and PBS, has earned multiple nominations for the 2026 Southeast Emmy® Awards, recognizing excellence in storytelling, production, and impactful public media content.
This year, WABE Studios received nominations across several categories, highlighting its growing slate of original programming, including My Money Mentors and Beyond The Movement, as well as its role in distributing standout lifestyle content like ChefATL.

In addition to its original productions, WABE played a key role as the primary distributor for ChefATL, a series that received two nominations in the Lifestyle category.
ChefATL is uniquely produced by Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and fully created by its students, offering an innovative, hands-on approach to storytelling that showcases emerging talent while highlighting Atlanta’s vibrant culinary scene.
Through its broadcast and digital platforms, WABE helps bring this distinctive, student-driven series to wider audiences, further amplifying regional voices and creative excellence.
About the Nominated Programs
My Money Mentors is WABE’s original series focused on financial literacy, offering practical guidance on topics ranging from credit card debt to college planning and estate management. The series equips viewers with the tools and knowledge needed to make informed financial decisions.
Beyond The Movement is a short documentary part of HBCU Week Now – A Public Media Partnership Honoring Historically Black Colleges & Universities. This series is spearheaded by Maryland Public Television and funded by Impact Media Partners and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
ChefATL showcases Atlanta’s vibrant culinary scene, celebrating diverse chefs, cultures, and flavors that define the city’s food identity.
