WABE Launches When Everything Changed, a New Inspirational Series Exploring the Turning Points Behind Success

Watch: Premiering March 23rd 8pm on WABE TV, YouTube and PBS Passport

ATLANTA, GA – February 27, 2026 – WABE, Atlanta’s home for NPR and PBS, today announced the launch of When Everything Changed, a new aspirational interview series spotlighting the pivotal moments that shaped some of today’s most dynamic leaders, creatives, and changemakers.

Unlike traditional documentary storytelling, When Everything Changed is designed as a conversation-driven exploration of the decisions, doubts, risks, and resilience behind success.  The series thoughtfully dissects career pathways, offering viewers an intimate look at what happens in the “valleys” – not just the peaks.

Each 30-minute episode features one of WABE’s esteemed hosts – Rose Scott, Jim Burress, or Lisa Rayam – in candid conversation with guests who have navigated life, career, and creativity with humility and determination. The series will debut March 23, with new episodes airing every other month.

The inaugural lineup includes:

  • Ron Clark, founder of Ron Clark Academy
  • Keri Hilson, Grammy-nominated musician and songwriter
  • Meherwan Irani, chef, CEO, and founder of Chai Pani Restaurant Group
  • Muhammad Massaquoi, former NFL player, inspirational speaker, and founder of VESSOL
  • Lauren Amos, founder and owner of Antidote Style

Through honest reflection, guests unpack the choices that changed everything – the risks taken, the failures endured, and the confidence built over time. As one guiding principle of the series reminds us: “The best time to plant a tree was yesterday. The next best time is today.” Rather than focusing solely on highs and lows, the show reframes success as a journey of “peaks and valleys,” recognizing that growth in the valley builds endurance for the climb ahead.

Episodes are filmed locally in Atlanta and, in select cases, incorporate experiential elements – such as hands-on moments with guests that connect viewers directly to their craft, creativity, or personal passions. The goal is not only to tell stories, but to create a space for learning, inspiration, and self-belief.

When Everything Changed serves those who may be on the brink of their own turning point – viewers who need a reminder that confidence is built, resilience is earned, and humility is often the quiet force behind achievement.

The series will be available on all major podcast platforms, including YouTube, as well as on WABE TV, WABE.org, and the WABE Mobile App.
