WABE’s “Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott” Returns Post-Pandemic
WABE “Closer Look” host Rose Scott’s popular community pop-up series to record live at Atlanta area coffee shops through June 2023.
(Atlanta) WABE, Atlanta’s choice for NPR and PBS, is extending the reach of its popular civic affairs show and podcast, “Closer Look with Rose Scott,” with a special series of live-broadcast tapings in community coffee shops across Atlanta.
The return of “Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott” is sponsored by the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta. The series features Emmy Award–winning WABE host Rose Scott in conversation with civic leaders and residents talking matters that matter most to Atlanta monthly now through June 2023.
“Our goal with ‘Closer Look’ is to provide a platform to amplify the many voices and stories that make Atlanta who she is,” said WABE Closer Look host Rose Scott. “’Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott’ series allows me the opportunity go out into our neighborhoods and hear from our audience direct about issues like affordable housing, community safety, transit challenges and more. I am so appreciative our partners at the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta understand the value in having that two-way dialogue.”
The first “Coffee Conversations with Rose Scott” of 2023 happens 1-2 p.m., Thursday, February 23 at UniTea And Coffee at 640 West (640 Evans St SW, Atlanta).
Subsequent live broadcasts will take place the last Thursday of the month, through June.
