WABE’s Week In Review: A Bizarre Triple Homicide, Wildfires and 75 Years Together

Police arrested Bryan Rhoden on Thursday. He is charged with murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping in the case of three men who were found dead at a Cobb County golf course, including the golf pro there.

Henry Valdez and Paul Pierson were found dead in the truck police say Rhoden had abandoned, and golf pro Eugene Siller was also shot and killed. Police say as he came upon the crime.

A public viewing for Siller is set for Sunday.

It’s unclear if Rhoden has an attorney.

Companies CAN require Covid vaccines…

Johnny C. Taylor, Jr., CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management, says the pandemic has brought some big changes to the workplace, though it’s unclear which will persist. But Taylor says employers can mandate their workers have COVID-19 vaccines, and his research indicates many workers want that mandate.

The West is bracing for another ugly fire season, but it’s not the only region threatened by wildfire.  Wildfire is common in the South, and the warming climate is amplifying the risk. Plus, more and more  more and more people are moving to areas that can burn –often without realizing the danger.
