Since 1997, Wilderness Works has served Atlanta at-risk and homeless youths.

Ebony Martin, who serves as the program director, says the nonprofit offers a 20-hour program that aims to educate, expose and enrich youths through nature and outdoor activities.

On Monday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Martin talked with host Rose Scott about how Wilderness Works has had to quickly pivot during the COVID-19 pandemic to offer additional resources to youths and their families.

During the conversation, Martin also talked about the importance of keeping youths safe and healthy during the pandemic and how Wilderness Works campers are staying connected virtually during the health crisis.
