Zoo Atlanta Opening New Amphibian, Reptile Habitat

Zoo Atlanta officials are preparing for the grand opening of a new reptile and amphibian habitat.

The zoo is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony Thursday for the more than 9,700 square-foot habitat. Officials say the complex features 60,000 gallons of water, a 30-foot waterfall and interactive digital signage.

Zoo officials say the habitat will be home to about 100 animals from more than 70 species around the world.
