The pain at the pump is easing. According to AAA, the average gas price today in Metro Atlanta is $3.74 a gallon. That’s a 12 cent drop from earlier this month when gas prices peaked at $3.86 a gallon.

“You have some of the largest oil consuming coutries in the world with not so great demand numbers, so that’s really putting prices down,” says AAA spokesperson, Jessica Brady. ”You have easing concerns with Iran which has put a downward pressure on prices; and the demand for the dollar has remained relatively stable,” she continues.
