City of Atlanta looks to New Hartsfield Jackson terminal to boost business globally

With just 2 weeks until the new international terminal opens at Hartsfield Jackson Airport, city leaders are beginning to hail its ability to strengthen Atlanta’s ties to emerging global markets.

Travel to Europe has been weakened by the debt crisis.  West coast airports have better connections to Asia, so city leaders see Latin America as the best opportunity for growth when the international terminal opens May 16th.

According to this week’s Business Chronicle, analysts say that would place Atlanta in direct competition with Miami when it comes to luring Latin American companies to the United States.
