Five months into his mayoral term, Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens says he learned a lot over thus far and that there’s a constant pull from different directions for him to make decisions.

“Loving this city has prepared me for this moment,” said Dickens.

On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” Dickens talked with program host Rose Scott about the “City’s Summer Safety Plan” naming Darin Schierbaum as the interim police chief of the Atlanta Police Department, and the ongoing search for a new chief.

During the conversation, Dickens also talked about summer youth employment opportunities and his administration’s work to create more affordable housing.
