Dr. Dwight “Ike” Reighard, the president and CEO of MUST Ministries, says suburban poverty is one of the fastest-growing segments of poverty.

“About 84 percent of the people that we serve at MUST Ministries are women and children, said Reighard on Wednesday’s edition of “Closer Look.”

Dr. Reighard, who is also senior pastor of Piedmont Church in Marietta, talked with program host Rose Scott about his organization’s response amid the pandemic, combating food insecurity across metro Atlanta and MUST Ministries’ Summer Lunch program.

“The pandemic has backed off in some ways, but there’s still a tremendous need going forward,’’ said Reighard.
