It’s been more than a month since a federal court allowed Georgia’s restrictive abortion law to go into effect — banning nearly all abortions at about six weeks of pregnancy.
Access Reproductive Care Southeast — or ARC — provides financial and practical support to people seeking abortion access across six southern states, including Georgia. Now ARC has gotten some grant money from the city of Atlanta: $300,000.
But interim Executive Director Jalessah Jackson says even that much money isn’t going to keep up with demand for long.
