Over two years after the height of the pandemic, Georgia homeowners and their families are still recovering from the financial damage brought upon by COVID-19.
On this edition of “Closer Look,” Tonya Cureton Curry, deputy commissioner for housing at the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, discusses the department’s newly introduced mortgage assistance program.
Through these funds, made available through the American Rescue Plan, Georgia homeowners who have suffered a financial hardship caused by the pandemic and need help are guaranteed financial assistance in mortgage reinstatement, principal curtailment and housing-related expenses.
