When the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade last year, several states across the country outlawed abortions or severely restricted abortions, including Georgia.
Currently, in the state of Georgia, the law bans terminating a pregnancy once a doctor can detect cardiac activity at around six weeks.
The Georgia Supreme Court is hearing oral arguments this week to decide whether the state’s restrictive abortion law violates the constitution.
