On July 1, SB140 became law in Georgia.
The new law blocks trans youth from receiving hormone replacement therapy, as well as prohibits medical professionals from performing certain surgical procedures at hospitals and other licensed healthcare facilities.
Four Georgia families who filed the lawsuit against the state say SB140 strips them of their right to make critical decisions about their children’s health care.
