The penthouse of the planned 21-story Emerson Buckhead tower is under contract for more than $6 million. According to this week’s Atlanta Business Chronicle that price tag could make it possibly one of the most expensive sales of an unfinished high-rise condo in the city’s history.
The 6,200-square-foot space will feature two stories, 24-foot ceilings, and a rooftop terrace with views of the Midtown and downtown skyline to the south, Buckhead’s and Cumberland’s office towers to the north, and the tree canopied Atlanta neighborhoods of Peachtree Hills and Peachtree Battle.
Emerson is being developed by JPX Works LLC, which was co-founded by Atlanta developer Jarel Portman, whose design inspirations draw upon experiences of working with his father, legendary architect John Portman, in Asia. It’ll be built just south of Buckhead Village on Peachtree Road. Crews could complete construction in 2019.
