Ruby Velle And The Soulphonics Get Funky With New Single, Forthcoming Album

Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics are poised for an exciting 2018. After releasing a few singles following their 2012 full length recording, their new album comes out next year. It’s called “State Of All Things.”

“It’s the idea of how to maintain unity in a world that might be impressing upon you a level of separatism,” said Velle. “It’s really a collective storytelling of how we are all surviving through this in our various ways to come out on the other side with music as the unifier.”

The debut track off the album is “Broken Woman,” and Velle and Soulphonic collaborators Scott Clayton and Spencer Garn joined Lois Reitzes in studio to play a song and to talk about the album’s rich sound and their goals for the release.

Ruby Velle and the Soulphonics continue their annual tradition of ringing in the New Year with a show at Venkman’s. They are also currently raising funds for their album through PledgeMusic.
