Lyme Disease: A Complex Medical Challenge

Lyme disease is transmitted by the blacklegged tick. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says the number of reported tick-borne diseases has more than doubled in 13 years. Diseases spread by ticks vary from region to region across the nation, and those regions are expanding.
