An Atlanta-area city council is set to consider banning shareable electric scooters.
The Marietta Daily Journal reports the Marietta City Council is expected to approve the ban at its meeting Wednesday. Mayor Steve Tumlin says the electric scooters would clash with the city’s outdoor displays and dining tables.
Several companies provide such scooters, which are used through apps. The scooters allow riders to grab a scooter and go, leaving the scooter wherever the rider happens to get off.
