Equifax and Fair Isaac Corp., creator of the FICO credit score, are teaming up to sell consumer data.
Atlanta-based Equifax compiles massive amounts of data on American consumers. Fair Isaac analyzes that data to produce credit scores that banks and others use to make loans. The two companies see advantages in working together in an era where the amount of data available is exploding.
They say the partnership will allow companies to make decisions faster and allow consumers to find out quickly if they have been approved for loans.
