There’s a new beer in town, and this one has ingredients from Atlanta’s very own botanical garden.
Atlanta Botanical Garden recently debuted its own custom beer – Garden Beer – in a new partnership with Atlanta brewery Wild Heaven Beer.
The brew’s ingredients include makrut lime leaves harvested from lime trees in the garden’s Dorothy Chapman Fuqua Conservatory, along with hints of hibiscus and lemongrass. The ingredients were developed with the expertise of Jason Paolini, executive chef of Longleaf restaurant; Amanda Bennett, manager of display gardens; and Wild Heaven brewmaster Eric Johnson.
