When news broke Wednesday that Johnny Isakson would leave his U.S. Senate seat to address ongoing health problems, “Morning Edition” host Lisa Rayam called Chuck Clay.
Clay is the former chairman of Georgia’s Republican Party and a former state senator.
Rayam and Clay met at his law office — Hall, Booth and Smith.
