The message from public health officials — from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to the World Health Organization — is clear: the best way to prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to stay at home.
As the number of reported confirmed coronavirus cases continues to rise and the death toll increases in Georgia and across the country, public health officials are stressing the importance of social distancing.
Dr. Marybeth Sexton, an assistant professor at Emory University School of Medicine and a part of the Serious Communicable Disease Unit team at Emory University Hospital, recently joined “Closer Look” to discuss how we can implement social distancing into our everyday lives — from trips to the grocery store to exercising. She also discusses what “essential workers” can do to stay safe and prevent the spread of COVID-19.
