Chamblee Police Officer Brandon White aims to serve as a bridge for the LGBTQ+ community. White understands what it means to live at the intersections of being a Black man, gay and a police officer. He was recently named the LGBT Liaison for the Chamblee Police Department.
In his new role, White will lead the department’s first-ever LGBT Liaison Program, which aims to build stronger, transparent and inclusive relationships between officers and community members.
On Tuesday’s edition of “Closer Look,” White spoke with show host Rose Scott about his journey to becoming a police officer and the goals he has for the LGBT Liaison Program.
